Why give to Brenau? |
| Friends give to Brenau for a variety of reasons, and not because we have needs, but that we meet needs. Because of this, friends’ generosity directly impacts much more than the university. It impacts individual student lives and our ability to serve as a community resource.
For instance, our nursing program, one of the strongest in Georgia, helps address the dire need for additional qualified nurses and nurse practitioners in Georgia and beyond. Additionally, the nursing department has devised a program that allows people to pursue a degree part time while continuing to be employed full time. This program is unique and has seen people move from other states in the southeast to our region just to take advantage of it.
Our teacher education program continues to be a large provider of qualified teachers for the children of Georgia. Again, there is an incredible shortage in our society for these truly talented people and the School of Education is doing a superb job of meeting a need that affects all of us. |

Many people give back because of their personal Brenau experience. It provided them with an education, a cadre of life-long friends and a base of knowledge that better equip them to lead a good life. Many others give to Brenau because of the community role we play in providing cultural, educational, intellectual and recreational programming and resources. Each year over 100,000 people take advantage of our various venues. Brenau improves the quality of life we all enjoy.
